2. Description of service
Kawrie provides merchants with tools for payment collection, settlement, transaction records, and related services. Availability and features may vary by market and payment provider.
3. Merchant eligibility and verification
You must provide accurate account information, be authorized to act for your business, and complete identity, business, and other verification checks requested by Kawrie or its payment partners.
4. Fees
Applicable fees are displayed in the merchant dashboard or agreed in writing. Fee schedules may change with notice, subject to applicable law and any agreement with you.
5. Settlement timing
Settlement availability and timing depend on your verification tier, transaction review, provider processing, banking hours, and other operational requirements. The dashboard or applicable agreement will show the terms that apply to your account.
6. Prohibited uses
You may not use the services for unlawful activity, fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, prohibited goods or services, or any activity restricted by a payment provider or applicable law.
7. Account suspension and termination
Kawrie may restrict, suspend, or close an account where reasonably necessary for security, verification, legal, provider, or risk reasons. Where appropriate and lawful, we will provide notice and information about next steps.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kawrie is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these draft terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Final liability terms require legal review.
9. Disputes and governing law
These draft terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Uganda, subject to mandatory applicable law. Dispute procedures and competent courts must be confirmed by counsel before publication.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as services or legal requirements change. We will provide notice of material changes by an appropriate channel, and identify when updated terms take effect.
